Easter Sunday

Josh was really enjoying his cake that we had at my aunt's house on Sunday for Easter. He loves to pose and be silly for pictures.

Just a picture of Josh and I on Easter, I was bummed that we forgot to take pictures of us in our Easter clothes for church but maybe next Sunday we will wear them again and get pictures then. It's just not the same. It's also not quite the same to celebrate Easter when you don't have kids of your own to hide the eggs for but we did the best we could and hid eggs for each other. That was still fun. And dinner with the family was fun as well. Last Easter we were in Missouri and we had just gotten engaged. It seems like it wasn't that long ago. Time flies!!

So this last week was so busy and SO much fun. We got to have Erinn and Natalie and their kids come stay with us for a few days and we had such a great time. We just love to have company stay with us and their family was so well behaved. So that was a lot of fun. Then last Friday was my Birthday. Josh took such good care of me for that. He woke up early and decorated the living room in streamers and balloons. So when I got up it was all decorated and he couldn't wait for me to open my presents. He got me an Old School Nintendo and Super Nintendo game system in one. I was so excited. I have been playing it on my spare time every chance I get. Then he took me out shopping and to a movie all day and to a nice dinner. What a wonderful husband I have. My family came over on Saturday to help me celebrate my birthday. My mom got me a new set of scriptures with me new married name on them.....YAY!!! Then Sunday was Easter but that is a whole new blog for a whole new day.

So I finally got the motivation to start painting my ugly pinkinsh walls and I decided to start in the living room/kitchen areas. The first picture is of course the before look and the middle one is a terrible picture of me painting the very first strip on the wall. The last is the color and look it turned out to be. I absolutely love this green color. We did 3 walls this green color and painted the ones around them white. I personally think it looks 100% better. Now I just need to tackle the rest of my house.

We got such a wonderful surprised on Tuesday morning. Jenny came in to town and told us she was going to stay here for a few days. Josh wasn't home when she came because he was at work so we didn't say anything to him and when he walked into the office he was completely shocked and surprised. This was his initial reaction. It's a bit blurry but still you get the idea. It was so much fun.
This was after it finally sunk in that she was really there and he got the story of why she was here. She came to get some geneology in. We have had so much fun with her here. I am not sure if we are going to let her go home.

St. George Parade of Homes

We went to the Parade of Homes in St. George over President's Day Weekend. These are just some of my favorite pictures from them. This first picture was a tanning bed in a house. I couldn't believe it.
This was a bowling alley/arcade in this home. It is really crazy what people are putting in their houses now. We saw a house that has a secret passage way from the bedroom that led out to the hot tub and pool. I think that was our favorite house.
This is just a picture of the girls on the trip. I love St. George. It is so pretty there and it was so much warmer. It made it so hard to come back to the gross snow and gray skies. We had such a great time though.
Josh's favorite feature in every home was the pool. It was always the first thing he looked at. This one was one of his favorites. (Isn't he so cute?)

A couple of weekends ago Josh and I had Madison sleep over at our house and I was painting her toenails and she just so badly wanted to paint Josh's too so being the good sport that he is, he let us paint his toes. Well we figured why stop at just painting his toes? So we put makeup on him and did his hair and finished it off with one of my dresses. Doesn't he look so pretty?
Josh's only comment about it was: This is why I want to have boys first.

We spent Christmas night at my Mom's house with my family. The first picture is of Josh and I just being happy to be together. The second one is of me and my sister's.
